All our Alabaster is sourced from deposits in Egypt, as it is the rock here that is especially attractive with it's impressive banding.

Rough Stone Before Selection and Carving

Workshops in and around Giza take the rough stone and carve a variety of products as they have done for thousands of years.
Although we now have the benefit of some power tools, supporting the skill of these men and women ensures that original techniques are not lost and this special stone is appreciated around the world.
